Asim Gorashi

Asim’s compositions mirror the visual scene, enhance the dialogue and create the atmosphere of Sudan.  He aims to reflect the multi-cultural way through music and expose the young generation to different styles and scales of music such as the pentatonic scale of African music.

An international performer Asim’s career highlights include performing in the Cairo Opera House (2002), winning an award at the Mela Festival in Oslo (2006) and receiving first place at the  International Whistlers Convention in the USA (2009).

Asim’s most magical moment is when he is creating music. He feels very nostalgic when he is performing especially when playing a solo on the violin or whistling.
