
Vivienne Glance
Vivienne is passionate about new writing “It’s the life blood that keeps theatre going.” She believes in portraying Australian diversity in theatre so it is relevant to our lives today. Vivienne worked with Afeif to transcreate The African Magician from Arabic into English. She enjoys the “slipperiness of language” and the challenges in finding a word or phrase with the equivalent meaning.
Career highlights include publishing a collection of poems The Softness of Water Sunline Press 2009, Staring in childrens show Parallex, performing in London's West End with the Royal Shakespeare Company and touring Poland with the Trojan Women (1990).
Vivienne’s most magical moment is the birth of her daughter: the connection and love for another person that is unique and indescribable.
