Fun-filled four-day workshops designed to fuel imaginations in a joyful, supportive environment during school holiday breaks.
Our workshops are led by Barking Gecko's experienced Teaching Artists, helping your child develop drama and performance-based skills through games, exercises, and creative explorations. Children will make fantastic new friendships in a fun, creative, and inspiring environment.

Please note:
- Enrolment in the program is for the full 4 days. It is NOT possible to attend single days of the program
- Food and drinks are NOT supplied as part of the program. Participants are required to bring their own food and drinks.

Suitable for Ages 8 - 12
Pack your bags and bring your explorer's spirit as we set off on an adventure to some of the wildest places on Earth. Imagine what it would be like to step into a world of wild wonder with breathtaking landscapes and fascinating creatures that make our planet so special. Trek through the jungles of the Amazon, explore the icy tundra of Antarctica, journey through the golden deserts of the Sahara, climb the towering peaks of the Himalayas or sail through glorious Galapagos islands and discover a true living laboratory of nature – the world is waiting for you to explore its most hidden corners and incredible places!
Join us for this exciting workshop as we venture across the globe in 4 days, mapping our journey of discovery. Led by Barking Gecko Arts Teaching Artists, young creatives will create their own characters and learn performance and theatre-making skills whilst simultaneously building their confidence and self-expression, all while making fantastic new friendships in a fun, inclusive and nurturing environment. Participants will then share their creative discoveries with an informal showing for family and friends on the final day.
Venue: Subiaco Arts Centre - Rehearsal Room, Level 2, 180 Hamersley Road, Subiaco
Dates: Tuesday 7 October - Friday 10 October (inclusive)
Times: 9:30 am - 3:30 pm (each day)
Capacity: 16 participants
Focus: Drama, theatre making and performance skills, storytelling, devising, improvisation, collaboration, ensemble work, self-expression and self-confidence.
Price: $396 (incl. GST), plus a $5.95 transaction fee.
