Great question. The income Barking Gecko receives from ticket sales and drama workshops accounts for 30% of our revenue. More than ever, we are reliant on sponsorship and donations to deliver our much loved, highly valued work for the community. Your donation will help subsidise the cost of our tickets so they remain affordable for Western Australian families.

Your donation will support our theatre productions for children and their families. As well as welcome children and families from disadvantaged backgrounds to the theatre and tour our work to regional and remote communities.

No, you won’t. Otherwise the tax deductibility of your donation is compromised.

One of the conditions associated with tax deductible giving, set out in the 1997 Income Tax Assessment Act, is that the donor does not expect anything in return and does not benefit materially from the donation.

We encourage you to purchase tickets to Barking Gecko’s theatre productions. As a donor, you will be among the first to know when tickets go on sale.
