Barking Gecko Theatre exists to instil curiosity, hope, creativity, and build self-esteem among the youngest members of our community. When children experience live theatre, it sparks imaginations, inspiring young people to see the world from a fresh perspective.  

At the core of this vision is Barking Gecko’s commitment to making theatre and programs for children that are ambitious and wildly imaginative.

Help us set imaginations soaring and reach more children through high-quality arts experiences by giving the gift of theatre. Your gift will give young people in WA and beyond the confidence to succeed in life.

Barking Gecko Theatre is a registered charity with a DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient) status. Donations of $2.00 or more are tax-deductible.

  • World-leading Theatre – Empower our artists and creatives to bring pioneering stories and diverse voices to life, crafting extraordinary theatre that inspires children to imagine the world anew.
  • Enhance Engagement – Support the continuation of our School Season Performance ticketing as well as provide a variety of fully subsidised enrichment opportunities through INSPIRE Perth.
  • Ignite Creativity – Enrich our suite of Creative Learning programs that explore drama processes and provide unique and inspiring experiences where the creativity of the next generation can flourish.
  • Unite Communities – Facilitate in sharing our innovative works across the country, ensuring our productions touch the hearts and minds of diverse audiences far and wide.
  • Where the need is greatest - Less than 10% of our revenue comes from the box office sales, which is why we count on your generous support to weave theatrical magic, enriching the lives of thousands of young people each year.

Your Gift

All donors will receive a tax-deductible receipt and be publicly acknowledged on our Donor Family website page for twelve months from the date of the donation and in our Annual Report. Donors will receive specialised e-mail updates throughout the year that share exclusive news about performances and year-long Creative Learning programs.

Supporters gifting $500 or more unlock further exclusive access including invitations to special events hosted by Barking Gecko’s Theatre’s CEO & Executive Producer, Artistic Director, and Board.
