At Barking Gecko Theatre, our vision is to foster a world where all children are creative, courageous, and culturally engaged. Through our productions and programs, we empower young people to shape their experience through creativity, inspiring young audiences to imagine the world anew.
Across our 35-year history, Barking Gecko Theatre has brought to life 110 new Australian works, captivated audiences across 12 countries, earned countless industry awards, collaborated with leading artists and creatives, and touched the lives of over 1 million children and families, no matter their circumstance.
This end of financial year, Barking Gecko Theatre invites you to donate $35 Towards the Next 35 Years of Barking Gecko Theatre. With new artistic leadership guiding our next phase of evolution, your tax-deductible donation will play a vital role in enriching the lives of young people in Western Australia and beyond.
Our ground-breaking artistic, learning, and engagement programs create an environment where all children, and their imaginations, can thrive. The stories we tell on and off the stage fuse big ideas and questions with timeless, imaginative worlds that speak to children in the here and now. We aspire to ignite imaginations, spark creativity, and foster connections in the youngest members of our community.
How your donation of $35 (or more) Towards the Next 35 Years can make a difference
- $35 - Covers the cost of a subsided ticket to support a young person attending a live performance of a Barking Gecko Theatre production.
- $135 – Subsidises the cost of theatre experiences, ensuring they are affordable for all children and young people in the community.
- $350 – Supports the use of high-quality production materials across our creative learning programs.
- $1,350 – Delivers exciting and engaging workshops and immersive creative learning experiences to students and communities by BGT’s Teaching Artist Team.
- $3,500 - Provides the opportunity for one class from a school community facing social, geographic, or financial challenges to attend a live performance of a BGT production.
- $13,500 - Supports the creative developments of new works by providing direct funding to the artists and creatives behind pioneering stories and diverse voices.
