Sandy McKendrick

Sandy interprets words and actions into visuals. She loves working with minimal design as it leaves room for children’s imaginations to take over.  Career highlights include teaching animation and puppetry techniques at Zambia Theatre. As well as working with the community in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, using materials found on the beach they constructed boats using traditional boat building techniques.

Sandy believes there a magical moments everywhere and she is surprised by what she sees on a daily basis.  She tries not to take anything for granted whether it’s the birth of a child, a shoal of fish under the water or some really good music!
