The Red Tree
Presented by Perth International Arts Festival
Adapted for the stage by John Sheedy and Gypsy Taylor
From the wildly inspired mind of Perth’s very own Academy Award winner Shaun Tan, The Red Tree draws you into a vibrant world of bold imagery and sparkling live music.
A young girl embarks on an epic adventure in an unfamiliar land filled with peculiar creatures and dream-like landscapes. The Red Tree creates a path that gradually leads her home. The play engages imaginations with design, sound and lighting that make Shaun Tan’s visions thrillingly real.
“Pure imaginative gold… By the end of the show all those leaves come alive and so do we.” PERTH NOW
